Why I am at MATC.

A little bit about myself...
My name is Maitrue; pronounced my-true, if you're wondering. I am from the middle child of nine kids. I grew up Hmong dancing with my sisters and friends. I enjoy baking, even though I'm not very good at it. Reading fiction and writing fanfiction is my escape from reality.

Escaping reality is nice, but at the end of the day I can't always escape reality. Upon graduating high school, I made plans to pursued a career in the medical field, aiming for pharmacy. I was almost positive I can do it. I began my studies at Concordia University and only stayed for a semester. I saw the debt increasing and I didn't think it worth it.

And that is why I am at MATC.
It's affordable. I'm receiving the same, if not more, learning experience as any student attending a university. I recently received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Human Resources at MATC. I had plans to pursued a bachelor degree in Human Resources at UW-Milwaukee, the following semester, but I heard the transfer agreement didn't process or something along that line.

And that is why I am in the IT Network Specialist.
Truthfully, I'm not sure which aspect of IT I want to work in, but I chose networking to dive into the IT world. IT is also a growing field, which I think it would be interesting to be apart of.
